Jon and I are finally getting our own place next week and I can't wait! We have plans to get a Spiny flower mantis as well as a cornsnake in the new year, so lots of macro photography on its way.

I've been trying to make time to do some photography lately, and have been trying some more unusual ideas. I was inspired by a book called Animalia by Henry Horenstein. In this book he takes very abstract images of animals,all in black and white, to draw attention to their form. I've been trying my own version of this idea doing macro work while volunteering at the aquarium. I am hoping to get hold of my own slr soon so that I can do some true macro shots.
