I am so pleased with my shoot today and really proud of the images. It took quite a while to get the shots I was after, alot of the animals don't really like staying still for long! I ended up taking an empty 4ft fish tank and putting it on its side on the sofa (to give a bit of height, crawling around on the floor was arkward!). I used coloured cards for my background and placed my lil dudes inside. They had plenty of space to move about in but I could keep a better eye on them rather than them escaping round the flat!
Can't wait to try doing some more with our other animals

So many photos to edit, but I am photoshopless for a while I need to get a copy for my laptop. I've been to Lulworth castle to watch the Joust, Bournemouth Oceanarium and Bournemouth Airshow. Also have plenty of photo of the animals to put up.
We've had numerous new additions to our household. I've addopted a baby bearded dragon who we've named Midas. Jon has addopted (my friends keep giving him spiders... I don't DO spiders) a mexican red-knee, a red leg and a velvet moutain beauty tarantula. He loves them, I'm not so keen tho I will admit that they are pretty to look at from a distance lol
We've also gained a few corn snakes, Penny (snow) and Lucy (Candycane) and have had our first clutch of eggs from Lucy already, so fingers crossed. Not sure if they will hatch as she laid them near enough in her water, but a few look okay.
We've also got another green anole called Hera and a horned lizard called Isis.
Think that's everyone!
Photos on their way

I've finally got Jons old camera back so I can do some macro photography again, trying to get some shots of our baby mantids by i just don't have the nack that Jon obviously has!
We have a new addition to our household, a female leopard gecko called Freja to keep Loki company. We will also be picking up two female adult cornsnakes tomorrow for our breeding project, one is a candy cane and the other a snow, can't wait to pair the candy cane with my candy cane male charlie! Fingers crossed for some very pretty babies

Firstly, our two remaining whites tree frogs died this morning. We still don't understand why. They were ill a few weeks ago and we lost one, but the other two recovered. They were left in the care of a friend (with lots of experience I should add) over last weekend and one looked a bit bloated. When we got up this morning they were both dead. I was so upset. We won't be having any more frogs for a while.
On a MUCH happier note tho, Jon and I are the proud parents of 10 baby checkered garter snakes! Jon had been convinced for a while that she was gravid but we were unsure as all our reptile friends thought otherwise. So it was a bit of a surprise to see lots of babies in the tank yesterday afternoon After dismantalling the tank stone by stone we recovered 10 babies, and she hasn't had any more since. They are so so small, absolute minatures of the adults. I'm sure there will be some photos on the way soon.

Jon surprised me last week by buying me a baby leopard gecko for my birthday. I had to wait a week to bring it home cause it was so small, but it's finally here! I've named it Loki (we dont' know what sex it is yet) and there will be photos to follow shortly. I'm so excited!! Thank you again baby xxx
